Ruth Roman

  Ruth Roman (born Norma Roman born on December 22, 1922; died on September 9 in 2000) was an American actress from the United States.



 



 Roman She had previously performed in stage roles on the east coast of America, made the move to Hollywood to pursue the career of a filmmaker. Before she was chosen for the lead role in western Harmony Trail (1944), as well as the title role in the film serial Jungle Queen (1945), she had a few uncredited parts. They were her first film credits performances.



 



 Roman first appeared in the title role in the film as Belle Starr's daughter (1948). She achieved her first notable recognition with her role in The Window (1949) and a year later was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year and Actress for her performance in Champion (1949). She was a Warner Bros. actress who starred in a wide range of films, including the Alfred Hitchcock thriller Strangers on a Train (1951).
